AOP Young Practice of the Year Finalist

Everyone at Lesley Cree Opticians in Radcliffe on Trent is delighted to have found out that we have been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2015 Association of Optometrist Awards (AOP) in the Young Practice of the Year award category. But we now need your help to win!

Winners will now be decided by a public vote which will take place between now (Monday 13 June) and midnight on 30 September 2015.

Commenting Lesley Cree said, “Everyone at the practice is delighted to have been selected as a finalist. The fact we have been chosen by peers in our profession is testament to our professional service to the community however we now need to appeal for support from our fabulous clients in order to win. The team has worked hard to deliver a superior experience to everyone who visits our practice and we hope this will encourage everyone to vote for us.”

She added. “It would mean so much for us to win an industry approved accreditation which is voted for by our peers and our patients. Winning this award recognises our achievements over the last three years and is testament to our commitment of providing our patients with the highest quality of eye care.”

The AOP awards have grown in popularity year-on-year since their launch in 2011, cementing the awards ceremony as a highlight in the optical calendar.

There are now 12 award categories and the 2015 finalists were chosen by a new panel of judges with a number of cross-sector experts from all areas of the optical profession. The judges include: chair of the judging panel, optometrist David Shannon; optometrist Karen Sparrow; AOP professional adviser, Geoff Roberson; AOP clinical and regulatory officer, Henry Leonard; AOP head of education and Optometry Today clinical editors, Dr Ian Beasley and Ceri Smith-Jaynes; and past award winners,
Dr Rohit Narayan and Angharad Hobby.

All winners will be announced at a black tie gala dinner at the Hilton Metropole Birmingham on Thursday 5 November 2015.
