Family Opticians Welcomes the Next Generation

The Radcliffe practice of Lesley Cree Opticians had a very special visitor this week as we welcomed Lesley’s first grandchild, Maya, to the store.

Born nine months ago to Lesley’s eldest daughter, and her husband, Maya was curious about the colourful displays of spectacle frames, making it a heartwarming moment for everyone as we introduced the third generation to the family business.

With Lesley’s son, Ben, confidently stepping up to take on all the management responsibilities and the addition of optometrists Steve and Sarah to the team, Lesley is now looking forward to spending time with her baby granddaughter. As a result, she has reduced her clinical time in practice to focus on her new role as a proud grandmother.

Lesley is now working all day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturday morning; with Steve, Sarah and Ruth covering the other days to ensure that that there is always an experienced optometrist available every day, and we continue to provide excellent eye care.

Lesley shared, “Rob and I are absolutely thrilled to be grandparents, and we’re so excited to look after Maya on a Monday; look out for us at Ed and Molly’s playbarn! Watching her grow over the past nine months has been such a joy and we look forward to witnessing many more of her milestones”
