Food & drink festival at The Grange

A charity food and drink festival is being held at The Grange Hall in Radcliffe on Trent on Sunday 29 November and Lesley Cree Opticians is going to be a lead sponsor.

Organised by a group of Radcliffe ladies led by Parish Councillor, Georgia Moore, the event is being held to provide the villagers of Radcliffe on Trent with inspiration for Christmas gift ideas. Our sponsorship is providing a drinks reception from 10.30am for visitors who would like an advance preview prior to the main event.

The event has been held for the last six years and has successfully raised over £28,000 for Maggies Cancer Care and other local charities including:

  • Radcliffe RSPCA Animal Shelter
  • Radcliffe Royal British Legion
  • Radcliffe Lions
  • Radcliffe Infants School
  • Radcliffe Church Christmas lunch
  • NSPCC
  • Dove Cottage Hospice
  • RAF Memorial, Newton
  • The Friary Drop in Centre, West Bridgford
  • Radcliffe Community mini bus scheme

The cost for advance entry from 10.30am is £10, or £3 from 12.30pm. Children under 12 are free. There will also be outside stall and rides and at 4.45pm, Santa Claus will arrive and a ceremony will take place to switch on Radcliffe’s Christmas lights display.

The food and drink festival will be open until 5pm and will feature 32 stands displaying a range of Christmas themed gifts ideas, crafts, food and drink.

Commenting Lesley Cree said, “Being involved in community life is an very important part of being an eye care provider in a local village. It ensures we continue to foster close relationships and also helps us to raise awareness of the importance of eye care. We will also be able to showcase some of our own Christmas gift ideas that would be suitable for people who wear glasses.”

The team at Lesley Cree Opticians look forward to seeing you!
