Join us for our 10th anniversary celebrations!

A message from Lesley Cree as we embark on our 10th anniversary.

We are so pleased to be able to say that we will be celebrating 10 years of being open very soon!! Myself and the team would be delighted if you could join us on Saturday 30 July anytime between 10.00am and 2.00pm to mark our milestone anniversary with a glass of bubbly and a cake or two!

It seems so surreal that 10 years ago I was inside the shell of the old Halifax premises that would realise my dream of opening my own opticians practice. Looking back over the last ten years, there have been many highlights. From winning the National Young Practice of the Year award in the 2015 Association of Optometrist Awards to our nomination in Nottingham Post Women in Business Awards in 2016.

We have grown steadily over the years; going from employing 2 members of staff to the 9 that we do today, including my son Ben who joined the business in September 2016 and later began studying to become a qualified Dispensing Optician. He is also now a Director and fully registered with the General Optical Council.

In 2019, we were one of the first opticians to invest a brand-new, state-of-the-art laser Optos eye scanner, and we are very proud that over the years we have been fortunate enough to be chosen as the local stockists for many leading designer brands.

Over the years we have been an ardent supporter of the local community by getting involved in Carnival week, supporting charity events and we hope putting a smile on everyone’s faces with our ever changing window displays and competitions.

I can honestly say the time has flown by and suffice to say our ongoing success is thanks to a very loyal and growing client base which has enabled us to expand our services by offering more appointments, online booking, as well as being able to save visits to the eye hospital thanks to our ability to carry out treatment for minor eye conditions within our practice.

Looking ahead to the next ten years, we promise that our commitment to a personalised service will never waiver, and we hope soon to have some great news to announce about another new service we will be offering to people who need a hearing test or hearing aids, which also enables residents to shop locally.
