Lesley Cree Opticians attend 100% Optical event

Last month our Directors, Lesley and Ben headed down to London to attend the 100% Optical event.

Since launching in 2014, 100% Optical has quickly established itself as the largest and only optical event in the UK, attracting over 10,000 UK and international delegated from the ophthalmic profession and more than 200 exhibitors displaying their products for practitioners to learn more about and consider using.

Organised in partnership with the Association of Optometrists (AOP), the annual show provides a platform for professionals to:

• Source the latest eyewear, contact lenses, technology and solutions for their businesses
• Gain invaluable CPD points as part of the AOPs world-leading education programme
• Network with fellow industry peers through one-to-one meetings, workshops and networking events.

Lesley and Ben attended the event to specifically gain a better insight into the latest equipment being used within the optical industry.

Commenting on the event, Lesley said “At Lesley Cree Opticians we are always looking to provide our patients with the best care and that means using the best equipment available. We are currently reviewing some of the equipment we are using within our practice, so it was good to attend 100% Optical and see what other professionals are using within the industry.”

Adding, Ben said “From my own personal perspective, it was great to look the range of frames from new up-and-coming manufacturers, especially brands such as Avanti and Kaleos. The event also enabled us to keep up to date with the latest design trends, network with other brand representatives and meet the owners of other UK based optician practices to share best practice.”
