Radcliffe on Trent food and gift fair

The annual food and drinks fair is making a return to Radcliffe on Trent on Sunday 27 November and is expected to be bigger and better with Grange Hall again acting as the host venue. Due to the success of last year’s event, Lesley Cree Opticians has once again agreed to be a lead sponsor.

The festival is in its 7th year raising a total of over £30,000 for the same local charities. Last year £4500 was donated to these charities:

• Radcliffe RSPCA Animal Shelter
• Radcliffe Royal British Legion
• Radcliffe Lions
• Radcliffe Infants School
• Radcliffe Church Christmas lunch
• NSPCC
• Dove Cottage Hospice
• RAF Memorial, Newton
• The Friary Drop in Centre, West Bridgford
• Radcliffe Community mini bus scheme

With over 50 stalls on offer, it provides residents of Radcliffe on Trent an excellent opportunity to experiment and taste local food and drink from all over the county.

Those with advanced tickets will be able to enter the festival at 10.00am and will be greeted with champagne upon arrival. As normal, the doors open to the general public at 12.00pm and entry will be £3.

Commenting, Lesley Cree, said “Being a local eye care provider it is essential that we continue to support events which promote the ethos of buying from our local businesses. Last year we really enjoyed sponsoring the event, so it really was an easy decision to lend our support again this year. It gives us a great platform to be able raise the awareness of the importance of eye care, whilst also giving us a great way to maintain and develop relationships within the community.”

The food and gifts fair is a charity fundraising event with all stall fees and gate receipts donated to local charities.
