Spectacle frame wearer of the year – designer frames

Whoever has visited our shop will know how passionate we are about glasses and that we seek to offer a wide range of affordable and designer frames.

This is because we understand that wearing glasses is also about looking and feeling good.

Optometry Today has recently announced the winners of the annual “Spectacle Wearer of the Year” awards, held to raise awareness of eye care and to raise money for charity.

Held in London at 8 Northumberland Avenue the awards night was hosted by actor and comedian Bradley Walsh and attended by countless spectacles-wearing stars including Brian McFadden of former Westlife, television and radio personality Vogue Williams, fashion icon Twiggy and actor Christopher Biggins.

Talent show judge Louis Walsh also flaunted his ‘specs factor’ on the night as a guest judge of the competition which celebrates ordinary spectacles wearers and celebrities who look good in their eyewear.

British pop couple Natasha Hamilton and Richie Neville, Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin Clifton and TV veteran Anne Robinson all proved they had ‘specs appeal!’

The awards saw James Adenrele, 27, from Milton Keynes, presented with the overall Spectacle Wearer of the Year 2015 prize. He wins £10,000, a holiday to the Bahamas and a £1,000 eye care voucher.
