Third anniversary review

I said it last year, but I’ll say I again – time flies when you are having fun!

It is truly amazing that we have reached yet another milestone. We set out to deliver something different in optical care to the community of Radcliffe and surrounding areas and it is thanks to loyal support from our customers that we are able to proudly celebrate three years in business.

There have been many developments over the last year that I’d like to reflect on briefly. These have been key to us having such a great year and culminated in our nomination for the AOP Young Practice of the Year award about which we are very excited.

It has been a year in which we were appointed to stock frames from more leading brand names such as Tom Ford, Joules and Silhouette. The team also expanded. Ruth joined last September and we achieved The Quality in Optometry Level Two Standard for Enhanced Services in the Community. This meant that our practice became accredited to see patients that have been referred by their GP, or other practices, for further assessments of abnormal eye conditions such a glaucoma, raised intra-ocular pressure, cataracts, macular degeneration, dry eye and blepharitis.

In October we welcomed new patients from a practice that was closing in Bingham. In December Debs joined as a new receptionist whilst Sarah went on maternity leave to have baby Jacob.

Our support for fundraising continued throughout the year with Red Nose Day and our involvement in community events such as the Radcliffe Carnival and the well-being seminar we attended at  Grange Hall to spread the word about healthy eyes and eye care.

The fabulous window displays have continued to be the talk of the village and make everyone smile or comment, and I think we’ve had some very chuffed competition prize winners.

So, all in all it’s been a great year for our practice and once again I would like to thank you all for your support.

Finally, one more polite request from me – if you have not voted for us yet, please visit our website and help us to win the AOP award.
