Video camera prize for carnival competition

Clarabelle Clements, aged 9, was the lucky winner of the Lesley Cree Opticians “Radcliffe on Trent Carnival’ window display competition.

During the lead up to Carnival, many retailers in Radcliffe on Trent proudly decorated their windows based on themes related to ‘greatest moments in history.’ Lesley Cree Opticians choose to theme our window to commemorate the first Moon landing.

Clarabelle was the lucky winner having correctly answered that American Astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were the first humans to walk on the lunar landscape of the Moon on 21 July 1969. A third astronaut, Michael Collins piloted the spacecraft which was called Apollo 11.

Her prize was a Vivitar Video camera which she will undoubtedly use to capture her own great moments in history!

Commenting, Lesley Cree said, “We always enjoy getting involved in the activities of the Carnival and this years theme was particularly exciting and enabled children to use both general knowledge and observational skills.”

Well done Clarabelle.
