Women in Business Shortlist

We are all delighted to have learned that the practice has been shortlisted in the ‘Small Business of the Year’ award category in the 2016 Nottingham Post Women in Business Awards.

The final takes place on Wednesday 23 November at the Crown Plaza hotel in Nottingham, and is when Lesley will find out if we have won the award.

Commenting she said, “Everyone at Lesley Cree Opticians is very proud to have been nominated for the Small Business Award; we are a team of 9 women who enjoy working together to generate a superior patient experience, and our nomination is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole team in achieving this ethos.”

“Women play an ever-increasing role in the work place, and often have to couple this with the commitment of also running a home and family. It is fantastic to recognise the achievements of women in all aspects of the business world.”

“We have achieved a very popular Opticians practice over the past 4 years; from nothing when we started in 2012, to a patient data base of 4000 patients today and a waiting list for appointments of 2 weeks. We offer a fantastic local service to the community of Radcliffe and surrounding areas, with an Optician on the premises 5.5 days per week, and always happy and willing to talk and advise patients on any concerns with their eyes. We have grown our staff from 3, to employing 9 today; plus we have just employed a full-time business graduate to lead our new enterprise of SUNNIES designer sunglasses.”
