Anti Fog Gel Available at Lesley Cree Opticians

Trying to become accustomed to the new normal of taking a mask out everywhere you go can prove to be abit of a nightmare, particularly if you are a glasses wearer! Wearing a mask will naturally steam your glasses up as the only point of escape for your breath is directly beneath your glasses. This is something that cannot be avoided and very often leads to people pulling their mask below their nose, something that is widely frowned upon!

Eyespace (one of our close suppliers) have released afew different products to counteract this problem, which include;

• Anti fog spray: The cheapest option but only lasts for an hour or so and less effective.
• Anti fog cloth: Slightly more expensive, easy to carry around in your pocket/bag however the solution within the cloth fads quickly.
• Anti fog gel: The most expensive (£18) but by far the most effective at stopping the fog and lasts all day.

After trialing all three products we decided to invest in the anti-fog gel as although it is the most expensive option, in simple terms it works!!

When using the gel you have to apply a small spot to each side of both lenses (you don’t need much at all!) then use the cloth provided to smear the gel over the entire surface of the lens until it seems like it has disappeared. Providing you do not use lens cleaning spray this anti fog will last all day! You are able to clean your lenses but just without spray. The gel costs £18.00 and incudes the gel, a cloth and a little pouch to transport both around.
