Jools & Michele attend first aid course

Everyone at Lesley Cree Opticians in Radcliffe on Trent is dedicated to providing first class patient care, and with that comes a commitment first aid training.

Following on from the Heart Start first aid course that Niamh and Lesley attended, it was the turn of Jools and Michele to learn some life-saving skills.

The course was a day-long refresher on basic first aid; including assessing the incident, the recovery position, resuscitation and CPR.

They also learnt about treating a choking casualty, and how to deal with bleeding, shock, seizures and minor injuries such as cuts and burns etc.

Both Jools and Michele thoroughly enjoyed the course, learning a host of essential life-saving skills, which they are glad to know, but hope they will never need to put into practice!
